Over-population leading to Over-exploitation

If little children are reading this page, the first question that comes to mind is: what is population, and what is the definition of the population? So, here's your response. A population is a group of individuals from the same species that live together and interbreed in the same region. Individuals in a population usually rely on the same resources, face comparable environmental limitations, and rely on the availability of other members to survive in the long run .  Population demographics, often known as demography, is a branch of science concerned with collecting and evaluating these figures. Any statistical element that influences population growth or decline can be included in demographics, although certain characteristics are particularly important: population size, density, age structure, fecundity (birth rates), mortality (death rates), and the sex ratio. Size, density, fertility, mortality, sex ratio, and age structure are all characteristics that may be measured and ca...

Disaster and Disaster Management part 2

I also used certain books to assist me in creating my blog, which proved to be beneficial. I thought I'd offer some additional information about catastrophe and disaster management to you after noticing your interest in my last blog about reading and studying disaster management.  So there you have it. First Aid and emergency action:    Disaster management is an action that is carried out with adequate preparation, organization, and coordination. It contains the following items:  1. Loss and risk prevention. 2.  Tolerance is improving.  3. Providing disaster aid while limiting the severity and scope of the damage.  4. Prepare for the worst-case scenario.  5. In the event of a calamity, an immediate response is required.  6. Damages and catastrophe severity are assessed.  7. coordinating rescue efforts and assistance  8. Reconstruction and rehabilitation The primary goal of first aid is to avoid death, worsening of health, and ...

Disaster and Disaster Management Part-1

In our daily lives, we may encounter or be exposed to a variety of harmful occurrences that occur often in the environment. And these are referred to be  'catastrophes' or ' disasters' .  Floods, wet and dry famines, cyclones, earthquakes, volcanoes, and other natural disasters are among the most common. These are 'all of a sudden' troubles to mankind. And such kinds of dangerous events cause sudden changes in the environment and thereby cause damage to it.  A catastrophe or disaster is described by the United Nations as "the sudden event that leads to the huge loss of life and property."  There are disasters like catastrophic disasters. Ex. Cyclones in Odisha,  devastating earthquakes in Gujarat and Latur, and often buzzing cyclones in coastal Andhra Pradesh,  all result in complete mayhem and significant loss of life and property in the affected areas.  Regardless of these factors, life has always returned to normal within a short period of t...

Environmental Management

Environmental Management :  The term "environmental management" refers to a system that includes processes for summarising, monitoring, reporting, creating, and implementing environmental regulations.  Environmental Management publishes research and viewpoints on the use and conservation of natural resources, habitat protection, and hazard control, covering the field of environmental management and transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries. Objectives of environmental management :  The objective of environmental management is to raise the standard of living for humans. It includes the mobilization of resources as well as the employment of government to manage the use of natural and commercial commodities and services. It is based on environmental principles.  The goal of the journal is to promote communication by making ideas and findings from any subject accessible to practitioners from different fields. Biology, botany, chemistry, climatology, ecology...

Astrobiology

The study of the origins, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe is known as astrobiology .  Astrobiology, previously known as exobiology, is a multidisciplinary science that investigates the origins, early evolution, distribution, and future of life in the universe. Astrobiology is the study of whether or not alien life exists, and if so, how we can detect it .  This interdisciplinary field necessitates a thorough knowledge of biological, planetary, and cosmic events. The quest for habitable environments in our Solar System and on planets orbiting other stars, as well as the search for evidence of primordial chemistry or life, is all part of astrobiology. Searching for evidence of prebiotic chemistry or life on Solar System worlds such as Mars, Jupiter's moon Europa, and Saturn's moon Titan; and studying the origins, early evolution, and assortment of life on Earth.  Astrobiology combines molecular biology, biophysics, biochemistry, chemistry, ...

Heredity and Evolution

Heredity is the transfer of biological characters from one generation to another via genes in simple words transfer of characteristics from parents to offspring is heredity. Johann Gregor Mendel is the pioneer of modern genetics.  Because of Hugo de Vries mutational theory, the cause of the abrupt alterations was discovered in 1901.  Living organisms, according to de Vries' mutation theory, can generate alterations to their DNA that drastically alter the organism. These alterations are handed down from generation to generation, resulting in the emergence of new species. To know the reasons behind the same characteristics and facial features check out my blog: https://bustlingmindd.blogspot.com/2021/05/dna.html When a new species evolves, it becomes stable and ceases to change.   The fact that both the father and the mother contribute nearly equal amounts of genetic material to the kid determines the rules for the inheritance of such qualities in humans. This indica...

Brain(Structure, Function, Parts and disorders)

The brain is a three-pound organ that regulates all bodily processes, analyses information from the outside world, and embodies the mind and soul's essence. The brain controls many things, including intelligence, creativity, emotion, and memory. The brain of an adult human weighs about 1300-1400 grams and consists of approximately 100 billion neurons.  The cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem are the parts of the brain that are protected within the skull. The forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain are the three main units that make up the brain. The top section of the spinal cord, the brain stem, and a wrinkled ball of tissue called the cerebellum make up the hindbrain. 1. Cerebrum : This is the largest part of our brain and consists of two cerebral hemispheres. The cerebrum is split into two hemispheres: left and right. The corpus callosum nerve fibers link the two sides. These hemispheres are joined with each other with the help of tough fibers. 2.  Cerebellum:  ...
